How do I determine the right load bank capacity for my application?

A load bank with a capacity equal to or greater than the rated output of the power source you are testing is recommended.

What are the common types of load banks?

The most common types of load banks are resistive load banks, inductive load banks, capacitive load banks and resistive/reactive load banks.

Do I need a load bank for a generator?

A good rule of thumb is that if a generator has not been used at more than 30% of its rated load, you should have it load tested before use. Load testing the generator ensures it will produce power as required and in emergencies.
