ICT Mobility Shelters
We design and build deployable ICT shelters for defence operations, engineered to transport and run sensitive communications systems in remote and demanding environments. When the Australian Defence Force needed to replace multiple transit cases and tent-based setups that were slow to assemble and reduced operational availability, we built purpose-designed shelters that let ICT equipment stay assembled and ready through transport.
Each shelter is engineered to Defence-proven dimensions and integrates with ADF M40 transport vehicles, with the power, cooling, racking, and tie-downs built in to keep critical hardware protected and operational. The result is a secure, weatherproof space teams can deploy quickly, without dismantling their systems first.
- Deployable shelters that keep ICT equipment assembled through transport
- Engineered to Defence-proven dimensions; compatible with ADF M40 vehicles
- Integrated power, HVAC, racking, lighting, and tie-downs
- Designed and built in-house under ISO-accredited Defence quality frameworks
Services
Defence-Proven Engineering
We design and manufacture ICT shelters at our Australian Centre of Excellence, drawing on lessons from the existing In-Service Module and earlier Defence programs. Each shelter is built to Defence-proven dimensions, with integrated electrical systems, HVAC, racking, and tie-down points tailored to the ICT hardware it carries.
Transport-Ready Configuration
The shelter is built so equipment stays assembled during transport, no breaking down systems and rebuilding them on arrival. It’s weatherproof, compatible with ADF M40 transport vehicles, and ready to operate on deployment, which cuts setup time and the manual handling risk that comes with it.
In-House Design, Build & Certification
Design, fabrication, inspection, and testing are all completed in-house under ISO-accredited Defence quality frameworks. That keeps the whole build under one roof, supports SOR/SOW compliance, and streamlines the sign-off and delivery process.
Operator Training & Support
We deliver a training package covering setup and pack-down, power systems, safety protocols, and ongoing maintenance, with a technical data package for safe operation. Optional lifecycle support, including collection and disposal, is available where needed.

Case Study: ICT Mobility Shelter
The Australian Defence Force needed a deployable shelter to transport and operate sensitive communications systems in remote, demanding environments. Their existing setup relied on multiple transit cases and tents, which were slow to assemble and reduced operational availability. We designed and manufactured four purpose-built ICT Mobility shelters at our Australian Centre of Excellence, engineered to Defence-proven dimensions with integrated power, HVAC, racking, and tie-downs, so equipment stays assembled and ready through transport. A full training package was delivered to ADF operators, and all design, fabrication, and testing was completed in-house under ISO-accredited Defence quality frameworks.
ICT Mobility Shelter FAQs
It’s a containerised shelter built to house and run ICT and communications hardware in the field. Unlike transit cases or tents, it lets equipment stay racked and assembled during transport, so a team can deploy and operate without breaking systems down and rebuilding them on site.
Yes. That’s the core of the design. The shelter is built so ICT hardware stays assembled and protected through transport, which cuts setup time and reduces the manual handling involved in reconstituting a system on arrival.
Yes. We deliver a training package covering setup, pack-down, power, safety, and maintenance, along with a technical data package for safe operation. Optional lifecycle support, including collection and disposal, is available where it’s needed.
