Our new Brisbane Airport Mobile Storage facility brings together sales, rental, engineering, fabrication, modifications, and repairs under one roof, creating a purpose-built hub designed to better serve customers across South East Queensland.
Hear directly from the team in the video below as they share what the new facility means for our customers, our capabilities, and the future of United Rentals.
Bringing Ideas to Life
Every Mobile Storage solution begins with understanding a customer's challenge and finding the best way to solve it.
From storage and amenities through to complex engineered solutions, the team works closely with customers to bring ideas to life.
"I think everyone's pretty surprised when they see what we can do with a container. When our customers come to us, they have an idea in hand, and our job is then to deliver from the page to reality," says Millan Borovina, Project Manager.
A Purpose-Built Facility
Designed to support greater collaboration and efficiency, the new Brisbane Airport facility brings multiple business functions together in one location.
"Coming to work at the new branch every day is an absolute pleasure. We have an all-purpose functional undercover workshop now, which we've blended two businesses into one. We have our modifications, engineering, fabrication and day-to-day repair businesses all under one roof, allowing us to provide all our services to customers from a single location," says Joshua Cross, Branch Manager.
The branch's location near Brisbane Airport and major transport corridors also helps the team respond quickly to customers across South East Queensland.
"Our new location is very centralised in the Brisbane area. We are very close to the Brisbane Airport, with quick access links to the freeways north and south to service our customers on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, offering a timely same-day response," he says.
Everything Under One Roof
A major advantage of the new facility is the ability to complete projects from start to finish in-house. Bringing engineering, fabrication, modifications, rental and sales together creates opportunities for closer collaboration and faster project delivery.
"We complete everything in-house from the hot works, through to the paint, through to a fit-out, drafting, designing, and engineering. We cover all bases under the one roof, bringing modification with sales and rental under the same awning," says Dan Cornish, Boilermaker - Hot Works.
This collaborative environment also enables team members to share knowledge and expertise across different areas of the business.
"We can utilise that to our advantage to help each other out, and to learn and share ideas between all of us," says Dan.
Working Alongside Customers
At the heart of the business is a commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering practical solutions.
"The customer might not realise that they actually have a need, but that's where we come into play," says Sarah Garland, District Sales Manager (QLD).
Working directly with customers on-site allows the team to identify challenges and develop tailored solutions, while having engineering expertise available within the branch streamlines the process even further.
"If we are looking at a site where we are doing our stackable solutions, we're able to actually talk to our in-house engineers now in the branch, so we can just walk over, look at solutions and have an answer right there and then," Sarah says.
For Sarah, building long-term relationships is a key part of delivering value to customers.
"We're not just about going and seeing customers; we're about building long-term relationships, and that is really important," she says.
Endless Possibilities
The Brisbane Airport facility supports a wide range of solutions, from simple storage applications through to fully customised, engineered spaces.
"Our capabilities and solutions are endless, really. We work with customers to make sure that we can produce the product that they're after," says Josh Ford, Leading Hand - Hot Works.
One solution that stands out is the Site Hub, a self-contained workspace that demonstrates the versatility of container modifications.
“The product that I admire the most that we build is the Site Hub,” Dan says. “You can drop that on any site, anywhere, without businesses having to worry about running services. It's a completely self-contained unit.”
