The MAPS Arch Spreader from United Rentals (formerly Shore Hire) is a high-clearance steel strut designed to work seamlessly with the Modular Aluminium Panel Shield (MAPS) system. Engineered to maximise vertical clearance in trench excavations, it enables safe, efficient access for personnel and machinery beneath the spreader.
Compatible with MAPS 2.4 m and 3.0 m End Members, MAPS Struts 3 and 4, and MAPS Panels (1800, 2400, 3000), it offers flexible configuration options using fixed and adjustable struts.
Constructed from Grade 350 steel and certified to AS 4744.1 and AS 4100 standards, it delivers reliable, compliant support for complex shoring applications.
- Provides 1710mm under-strut clearance, making it ideal for large diameter pipe installation and high-volume trenching works.
- Adjustable from 1150mm to 2690mm to suit varying trench dimensions.

The MAPS Arch Spreader is a steel high clear type strut to be used in conjunction with the Modular Aluminium Panel Shield systems. It creates a clear vertical opening between the top of the trench and the base of the excavation, allowing improved access for personnel and equipment.
This spreader is compatible with MAPS Struts 3 and 4, MAPS Panels (1800, 2400, and 3000), and the MAPS End Post E08 and E10. It incorporates both flexible and fixed strut options, supporting a wide range of trench configurations while maximising horizontal and vertical clearance.
Manufactured from minimum grade 350 steel, the MAPS Arch Spreader is engineered in accordance with AS 4744.1: Shoring and Trench Lining Equipment and AS 4100: Steel Structures.
