The unit includes a range of smaller container installations around the site, all designed for stability, rapid deployment, and seamless integration with the event infrastructure. Modular and relocatable, the installation supports live concerts and breakout areas for attendees, ensuring safe, reliable, and visually impactful event experiences.
Challenges
The project required transforming shipping containers into a fully functional, stable event stage and breakout areas under tight deadlines. Coordination with Tennis Australia was essential to meet façade and TV mounting requirements, while accounting for extreme weather conditions and the need for precise ballast and structural stability. A compressed timeframe of approximately three months demanded efficient planning, fabrication, and on-site assembly.

Result
United Rentals’ in-house team collaborated closely with Tennis Australia and subcontract partners to design and fabricate container structures that met all performance and aesthetic requirements.
Workshop teams conducted welding, container alterations, and custom spray finishes prior to delivery. On-site, the area was leveled, containers craned into position, and locked together to provide structural stability. Logistics, transport, and crane operations were carefully scheduled to ensure all components arrived and were installed on time.
